There are four slide show albums:
- New Artwork Gallery - Has the newest artwork - oil paintings, engravings, mixed media - many with close up detail pictures
- Artwork Gallery - Includes all artwork - oil paintings, engravings, mixed media - sorted by medium and title
- Step by Step Gallery - Step by step slideshows that show oil paintings from the pencil sketch to the finished oil paintings and an engraving being printed.
- Subject Matter Gallery - Sorted first by medium, oil paintings and engravings, then into subject matter
Below are full descriptions of the gallery albums:
The New Artwork Gallery slide show has the newest artwork on this web site.
Each piece has their own album, most with close up detail pictures.
The Artwork Gallery slide show has all the artwork on this web site, separated into four categories:
- Oil Paintings - This has the oil on panel paintings in alphabetical order. This slide show is likely to change more often than any other.
Some paintings that were in this slide show may still be available, so if ones you like are missing contact R. Michelson Galleries to see if they still have it.
- The Trail of Tears Series - This is the Trail of Tears series of paintings, depicting the start, middle and end of the Trail of Tears journey.
The first one painted, "The Trail of Tears" is in the permanent collection of the Bradley House Museum in Jasper AR. The image has been used several times now, in and on the covers of several books. There are giclées of this image available for purchase.
- Engravings - Most of the available engravings can be seen in this slide show.
- Miscellaneous - The mixed media artwork is in this slide show.

To create these Subject Matter Slide Show Gallery, we separated the artwork into oil paintings and engravings, then into sub-categories listed here:
- Animals - Animals from insects to elephants can be seen here.
- Close Up Views - These are mostly nature scenes, small waterfalls, leaves, and other get in there and look at it closely kinds of subjects.
- Figures - Self explanatory, this is all about images of people.
- Flowers - Also self explanatory. You find both domestic and wild flowers in this collection.
- Miscellaneous - The artwork that was hard to put into the other categories, so we put it here. Much is very visionary, or surreal, with a lot of symbolism.
